Shell Specimen: Blue Skies

These Shell Originals will always have a special place in my heart. Each shell was literally hand picked from the Gulf by my girls and me.

Every year we go scalloping during our summer break in Steinhatchee Florida. We save the shells, clean them, bleach them, scrub them and sun bleach them. Then we spend our days coloring shells together. The girls love it and give me such great inspiration.  It is truly a labor of love but so worth the memories and creations.

These 8x10 textured scallop shell botanicals are each hand painted with acrylics and metallic gold accents. They are sealed and securely glued and placed in a white floater frame that is ready to hang.
